SOIL MUSIC: what do we do?
We foster common ground.
We connect culture and agriculture.
We cultivate soil for positive futures.
SOIL MUSIC: why?
Because soil regeneration is a key issue for the survival of us all, and this needs to become part of public awareness.
Because this requires many people and diverse areas of expertise. We bring together: soil know-how and playful creativity, connection to nature and technical innovation, effective communication, and the joy of positive change.
Because music can play a key role here. We believe in its power: it connects, touches, and inspires.
SOIL MUSIC: who are we?
We are people from culture, agriculture, science, and education who are taking action in the face of a dystopian global situation.
We are closely connected to the “Holistic Compost Lab,” a laboratory for compost and soil regeneration located at Steingrubenhof in St. Peter, Black Forest.
SOIL MUSIC: what do we offer?
The Soil Sound Festival.
Music projects like Subtera or the Soil Music Collective.
Lectures and workshops, books and publications.
Content for educational institutions, modules for festivals.

REGENERATION
Soil Music is our down-to-earth pathway to regenerative future making.
We dedicate our actions to the principle of regeneration, the apparent paradox of simultaneously utilising and increasing a resource. What can apply to ecology is applied to art, and vice versa, because the regeneration of our very basis of existence is a task that must be approached holistically.
In regenerative thinking, we make no distinction between the micro and macro levels of society. Exploring our immediate surroundings, becoming aware just how much we depend on other organisms, looking for unusual connections, and inspiring others to follow suit.
